TEFL

What is TEFL?

TEFL is the common abbreviation for Teaching English as a Foreign Language, which involves teaching students whose first language is not English. Students range in age from childhood to adult. EFL courses can take place in state schools, private schools or special EFL schools, and can be found in almost every country around the world. TEFL usually involves refining students' speaking and listening skills through exposure to native speakers of English who are qualified English teachers, or who have a qualification in TEFL teaching from an accredited TEFL training college.
